If there’s one toy that comes to mind when you think of idealized beauty and fashion, it’s Barbie.

You can normally find her clad in a stunning outfit that is accompanied by the perfect myriad of matching accessories. If only we could all have her stylist and her unrealistically amazing physique.

If you ever wondered what Barbie would look like in real life, you’ll be glad to know one Italian photographer has set out to bring Barbie into the real world of high fashion.

In the December/January 2015 issue of Vogue Paris, Giampaolo Sgura captures a photo series that highlights a slightly more superficial side of the fashion industry.

Working with supermodels like Magdalena Frackowiak and Elisabeth Erm, Sgura creates a variety of colorful images that transforms these gorgeous models into faux Barbie dolls.

Just like you would expect to find in a toy store, each doll is packaged inside of a box with a particular theme or profession in mind, along with a complete set of accessories to complete the look. The only difference is that these Barbies are alive and dripping in designer labels.

Take a look at the photos below to see models posing as real-life Barbie dolls.
